Hi Gang~

That's why I'm not letting myself drive these days.

Can't control myself sometimes. I've had to stop watching the news totally.

Thank you for your service, Daniel.

have a good afternoon

Hi!

Happy Friday as the third day of a bad head sets itself in motion. (bad choice of words!)  It must be the monsoon predicted for this part of the East Coast!  Just stopped in to say hello.  Thank you for your service, Daniel, as Katiea said.  TTYS, everyone!  I hope you are all doing well.

Daniel, Katwoman, Katiea, Africa, and all my other SATBP friends -- I have not posted for a variety of reasons -- not feeling well, my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson leaving, getting my tax materials ready for next week, and then Wednesday, my low back "went out"  -- heard and felt it "pop" as I was doing something inane: tucking in the sheet on my couch and twisting at the same time.  This has happened a few times before.  I hate it -- sympathize with a taste of what Daniel deals with I imagine.  I did get acupuncture yesterday, and it has helped my pain, stiffness, and spasms begin to get better perhaps faster than the times my back did this before I started acupuncture 2 1/2 years ago.

I want to point out that acupuncture for me has helped control my muscle and joint pain has been evident over time -- it is not "magic", at least for me, in dealing with acute pain.  I have felt the chronic pain I have been dealing with for many years has been more tolerable with acupuncture every two weeks, occasionally every week, in addition to my pain medications, mentholated muscle topical rub twice or more times a day, and massage therapy every two weeks.

Daniel, I hope acupuncture is a helpful addition to your treatment and makes you more able to cope with your pain and be more functional.

I need to stop writing now -- my back is getting stiff and I have to move around -- carefully to avoid spasms.  Your friend, John.

Hi Everyone~

It's Saturday. Hope all is well. Kat, I'm sorry it's  monsoon time. It rained here all day yesterday and the pond looks great!

Daniel, I've been getting acupuncture since '91. When people ask me if it works, I extend my arms and say, "I'm still walking." I can't even remember over the years all the muscles it has loosened. As John says, it's not magic. But pretty darn close. I usually go twice a week. It's not covered for me, either. I charge it. Doesn't seem so much like cash that way!

Well, we're off to clean the shower. Since my husband is retiring in three weeks, we circled that item in the budget as something we can do. We'll see.

After the rain, it's a gorgeous day. Almost 70. The warm helps me a lot. The cool damp does me in.

cheers to all
keep on keeping on

Hi Everyone-

John, I am glad you and your family had a nice, although busy, visit with your Family. I believe Griffin knows you love him even if you are not able to be on the go. Sometimes children adapt better than adults. Hope your back feels better.

Katwoman- Great job with the writing. I saw an interview with Brooke Shields and she said it was harder to write children's books after writing a book for adults. Interesting perspective.

Katiea- 70 degrees sounds wonderful! I am glad your husband is retiring. How did your daughter survive the snow?

Africa- Hope all is well with you.

Daniel- It is raining and windy here too. Thankful it is not snow! Hope the acupuncture helps you too.

Has anyone else tried yoga? I want to look into a beginner's class. I tried following a video several years ago-not a pretty sight or easy to do for me.

Hi to everyone I may have left out.

Monday morning~

Are we all awake?Huh

Good to hear from you, Spitball. I have tried yoga and found it to be great. In the past year, I haven't. It seems like it puts a lot of strain on my wrists. I have osteoporosis and don't want to break anything. The stretching is wonderful. Mixed review, eh?

Daniel, glad you and your wife and your doctor came to some conclusions. Hope you get relief.

John, hope you're up and about again. We do pay for the fun things in life, don't we? Worth it, tho.

Greetings to Kat, Africa, BigD (we miss you). If I missed anyone, I send you double greetings.

onward
