My husband has been bearing the burden of being a caregiver to me for many years and it has begun to affect his own health and he is starting to lose his identity... the guilt I feel for the way my illness has affected his life is indescribable.   I have encouraged him to go to a caregiver support group, however there are none in our area and he is working so many hours (due to my not working) and he spends so much time caring for me, he cannot even get to a support group.  However, I think he would join a phone group if one existed.

I think a phone support group for caregivers is a much needed group and if there was any counselor out there willing and able to hold it, it would be a god send!!

Thanks!!!

Hi,
You might be able to find something here:  http://www.caregiver.org/caregiver/jsp/home.jsp  if not, there is the caregiver discussion group at least.

Hope it helps!

I would love to talk to someone, anyone.  We are so alone here.  I hate it here.  I hate cancer and this situation is getting worse.
